Es begann bereits im Januar 2022 mit dem Erwerb der wissenschaftlichen Bibliothek von Fam. Stöhr. Über 400 teilweise sehr alte und wertvolle Bücher darf das Museum nun sein eigen nennen. Alle Bücher sind mittlerweile erfasst und gemeinsam mit dem Museumsverband hinsichtlich erforderlicher Restaurationen beurteilt worden. Über die weitere Vorgehensweise muss 2023 entschieden werden. Ziel soll und muss sein, diese wissenschaftliche Bibliothek Interessenten zugänglich zu machen.
Auch im Januar 2022 hatte unser Museum seinen 20. Geburtstag. Dieser konnte leider erst im Mai gebührend gefeiert werden. Erfreut waren wir, dass die meisten unserer geladenen Gäste gekommen waren sowie über die Wertschätzung unserer Arbeit.
Auch außerhalb Gerabergs war unser Museum präsent. Unser Vereinsmitglied Herr Zorn präsentierte das Museum im März 2022 auf der D-A-CH in Leipzig. Dort konnte auch geklärt werden, wo denn eigentlich Geraberg liegt.
Am Tag des offenen Denkmals konnten wir viele Besucher begrüßen und mit Kaffee, selbstgebackenem Kuchen, Suppe und Würstchen verwöhnen.
Bedingt dadurch, dass mehr Besucher in Deutschland ihren Urlaub verbrachten, konnten wir zahlreiche Gäste aus dem gesamten Bundesgebiet begrüßen. Leider fehlen uns nach wie vor Schulklassen und Busreise-Unternehmen als Besucher.
Wir hoffen natürlich, dass dies sich 2023 wieder ändern wird.
Am 10. Dezember war das Museum Teil des Geraberger Weihnachtsmarktes. Unsere fleißigen Wichtel, allen voran unsere immer aktive und zuverlässige Helga Schneider haben gebacken, gekocht und unsere Gäste gut betreut. Ein Höhepunkt waren die von unserem Glasbläser geblasenen Weihnachtskugeln, die die Kinder selbst gestalten konnten! Über die Kreativität der Kinder kann man immer wieder staunen!
An dieser Stelle möchten wir uns nochmal bei allen fleißigen Wichteln ganz herzlich bedanken. Ein besonderer Dank gilt dem Glasbläser Jens Augner, der kurzfristig für unseren erkrankten Glasbläser eingesprungen ist.
Auch 2023 wird es wieder einige Neuigkeiten im Museum geben, die bereits in der Vorbereitung sind.
